Served as ambassador for the 2007 Trail Blazers Street Jam, which benefits Special Olympics Oregon.
Helped out with rebuilding efforts in the Katrina-battered Mississippi Gulf Region.
Holds annual basketball clinics for children with asthma.
His hometown of Starkville, Mississippi declared August 26th of each year “Travis Outlaw Day” in honor of his continuing efforts to better his community.
Donated $10,000 to the local Boys & Girls club in Starkville.
